Overview

“Save the Day for Play”

General information:

Save the Day for Play, Resources for the Intentional and Responsive Educator © 2009 is a software and resource package developed to support Early Childhood Educators in applying Ontario's Early Learning Framework (OELF). Resources include sample planning guides and forms, along with software for documenting children's activities and applying the OELF Continuum of Development to identify the skills they are developing. The software assists early years' practitioners in documenting children's learning, creating class-wide and individual portfolios and making children's learning visible to others.

Save the Day for Play - Implementing Ontario's Early Learning Framework, Trainer and Mentor Manual, First Edition (Revised) © 2010 supports capacity building in communities where Ontario's Early Learning Framework has been implemented, and where there is interest in enhancing implementation by introducing "Save the Day for Play" resources and software. Trained mentors will be provided with all the resources and workshop materials used in the Save the Day for Play Program (SDPP) and learn a mentoring process to support implementation of Ontario's Early Learning Framework.

Trainer's Manual and Resources include:

  • Introduction to OELF Workshop and Presentation resources
  • OELF in the Learning Environment Workshop and Handouts
  • Gathering Evidence, Applying Ontario's Early Learning Framework Workshop and Handouts
  • "Save the Day for Play" Software
