Outreach Options
The Library Outreach Program provides access to some ASCY library services at two locations in the city of Hamilton. Our hope is that we will assist those who are having difficulty accessing our main site at ASCY, allowing them to utilize equipment and access resources. This service provides an excellent opportunity for networking and mentoring at all locations.
ASCY at Mohawk College
This is a permanent outreach site meeting the needs of the staff, students and members at Mohawk College. Services are offered Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Room F145. There has been great success at this site due to the consistent hours of operation, the availability of permanent items for loan at this site. A small die press and 30 dies can be requested as well for use at this site on either Monday or Tuesday. The permanency has offered an incentive for the membership and some community members to use the site on a regular basis.
Outreach to Individual Centres
ASCY continues to offer Library Outreach to individual centres through our Professional Education menu to meet the individual centre needs.
Are you planning staff meetings, area network meetings, lunch time or programming time for your staff? Think about having the outreach staff at ASCY come to you.
These services are a benefit to the Hamilton community as a whole enabling those who use the outreach to ”Raise the Bar” within our community and continue to ‘Make Hamilton the Best Place to Raise a Child’.
