Professional Education Services
Our responsibilities include:
Responding to community requests for
customized professional education through developing,
delivering and/or co-ordinating professional education opportunities.
- Professional education provided on a continual basis throughout the year on-site based on input/suggestions from past participants of workshops, members of the Professional Resource Library, staff and community members working with children and youth.
- Professional education can also be provided on an outreach basis at your organization. We are available to present on a variety of topics or to design professional education to meet the specific needs of your group. Some topics include: Board Training, Behaviour Guidance, Social Skills, Make and Take workshops on a variety of topics, File Folder Factory, Team Building, Personality Dimensions and Myers Briggs.
- Working closely with the community on collaboration of professional education, eg. Hanen Language Program, Sign Language, Playground Safety, Program Evaluation, Marketing , First Aid, etc. which may take place here or at the other partner's location.
- Special Needs Consultant professional education and support.
- The Board Development program offers assistance in the implementation of Board Development by providing information, professional education and resources which include: roles & responsibilities, job descriptions, by-laws, board/staff relationships, board policies and budgeting.
- Collecting and keeping information on current professional education opportunities and conferences in the community updated in order to respond to inquiries that may be received.
- Maintaining a speakers' binder which includes various speakers and topics with their contact information. The Binder is made available to the community for requests and inquiries.
- Support through Networking Groups: Supervisors, School Age, Infant/Toddler, Preschool, Cooks, It's All in the Presentation, Picture This, Francophone and Early Literacy.
- Francophone Services can be arranged upon request with the approval of the Executive Director.
