The Hanen Speech and Language Program
The Hanen Language Program for Early Childhood Educators is an innovative program for teachers in child care settings and caregivers providing in-home child care. This intensive hands-on program is based on the conversational model of language acquisition - children's language skills cannot be taught but are learned as part of their day-to-day interactions with peers and caregivers.
Goal
The goal of the Hanen Language Program for Early Childhood Educators is to involve Early Childhood/Child Care Providers in early language intervention. By providing Early Childhood Educators with the information and opportunities to allow them to create enriched, interactive environments that support social language and literacy development, we provide our children with quality early learning and child care. Based on a model of Prevention, Intervention and Enrichment, the Hanen Language Program for Early Childhood Educators addresses the language needs of all children.
